For the first time, The Sims 4 announced a major change to a recent expansion on Aug.1. The Enchanted by Nature expansion pack is getting a toggle for the ailment system. This will allow players to enable and disable a major pack feature after launch.
The update comes directly from The Sims Direct account X, which is the official account for The Sims with updates about the game.
The ailment system was a new way to bring more gameplay and sickness. It functioned alongside the new Apothecary skill, where sims can create remedies or pay to have the ailment removed. Fairies could also remove ailments with their abilities.
This comes after many complaints that the system added ailments too frequently. The game's recent update brought a feature tuning for the ailment system on July 29.
Players already have a few toggles that came with the pack. Enchanted by Nature lets players limit fairies to the new world of Innisgreen and the toggle for the "Balance and Inbalance" system. However, there wasn't a toggle at launch for ailments.
The X post didn’t state a timeframe or release date.
