Some of us spend A LOT of time in Create-A-Sim (CAS). You don't really need to stay on the same background either. There are a lot of different options when it comes to CAS backgrounds.
It's pretty easy to change your CAS Background. You have to make sure that ONLY 1 installed in your Sims 4 game at one time. I list some of my favorites below.
I've used all of these at one point during my time on YouTube once I found out about Mods/CC for The Sims 4. My current background is StarBeary Sims. I love the pastel colors. It's simple.
I usually go back to Jenn's backgrounds for more neutral solid colors. Make sure you check out my video explaining all of them!
